chrpath software package provides Tool to edit the rpath in ELF binaries, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install chrpath
chrpath is installed in your system.
Make ensure the chrpath package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep chrpath *
You will get with chrpath package name, version, architecture and description in a table
